Washington State terminated the software used to track marijuana products from the grower to the seller today. Every state has seed to sale systems, purported to stop the cartels, keep the mafia out, prevent import/export, and some other BS things.
The state, the industry, and the consumers paid a lot of money for a system that didn’t work. The mismatch was so obvious, even the state said the whole thing had to go, and today it did.
Every state with legal marijuana has a seed to sale tracking scheme in it. Those are a waste of money, but necessary to satisfy certain voters.
