Marty's Travels

My house has wheels

Algodones, last time this year

Yesterday was dental, today was glasses. It takes a few hours to make new spectacles so I spent the day watching the people.

The town depends on snowbirds: fat, ugly, obnoxious, and stupid people. They make an astonishing amount of money selling drugs, eyeglasses, and teeth care at a tenth of what it costs in the US.

So I got some new glasses today, a prescription slightly better than what I’ve been wearing, but it will go bad in a few months. No matter. The new ones are a bit more modern, more in style, but nothing remarkable. I use progressives, which means it will take a few days to get used to them.

I’ve got some RV parts on order which should arrive tomorrow. Once that package is received I’m free to go anywhere.
