Or is it Hudson Point? Either way, it’s the marina and RV park at the end of the main street of Port Townsend. I’m on the water with views of: Olympic Mountains, Mt Rainier, North Cascades, Mt Baker, Whidbey Island, the San Juan Islands, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
Human activity involves kayaks/sculls, fishing outboards, tourists with cabin cruisers, sail boats, and super yachts. The RV park is full.
Meanwhile it’s the Port Townsend Jazz Festival, where anyone with a spare corner is hosting music (two restaurants next to me have carved out a spot).
Tonight (right now, actually) it’s Gallery Walk, the once-a-month show of local artists. That’s what I did earlier today, and a lot caught my eye. PT is an artist’s place, so a lot of the production is very ordinary. But that’s to be expected at any art show.
