Marty's Travels

My house has wheels

Nice weather

70’s and sunny, and that’s the outlook for the next week at least. Very unusual around here this time of year.

I took the boat to the nearby storage place today because I’m on the waiting list for storage here in the park, and I’m tired of working on it right now. I know what needs to be done, I just don’t feel like doing it right now.

Getting accustomed to my new community is an interesting process. Chimacum is thick with politics, in-fighting, incomprehensible squabbles, hassles, and unpredictable financial demands. But I knew that when I took the lot. I was extremely lucky (was it luck? or were strings pulled?) to have landed a lot in the middle of the group of people that think like I do. We’re trying to stay out of the fray and not waste our time with astonishing trivial issues.

The park has experienced a 40% turnover this last year, an amazingly high number for a SKP park and a very bad sign. I’m expecting that much again by the time August rolls around. But I knew that. I won’t explain my strategy here right now.

It’s still a great place for visitors, though, so drop by and look me up!
