I’m all hooked up, checked the gas tank, and have one good battery so I’m going to give a try putting it in the water tomorrow. Oh, and today I paid the WA sales tax on my purchase.
I’ve never launched such a big boat before, a sequence of steps and techniques similar to RVs. So I’ve been lurking at the boat launch in PT watching the more experienced folk. One guy had a new boat, never been in the water. He had two friends with him, who have never launched a boat. First, the owner couldn’t back down the ramp (a long perfectly straight shot) and took out his front fender on his new truck. There were 4 boats waiting (and watching). The boat refused to leave the trailer, even with three guys pushing on a floating boat. “Oh, we left the straps on”. The straps hold the boat to the trailer for travel. Pull it out of the water and do it again. I left at that point.
Hopefully the line won’t be long when I get there in the morning because I’m going to need some time to work through things. Then learn to drive the beast.
