I was anxious to get my new Visa card which was expiring, so I had my mail sent to Quartzsite. Dumb mistake, as I know from experience that the line at the post office is terrible. Better to send mail to Bouse or Blythe or Parker; a longer drive, but less hassle.
To make it worse, I arrived 2 hours early for General Delivery pickup, so had to kill some time. (That’s 2 dumb mistakes). So I went over to the tent, third mistake because it was packed and parking was stupid. Then back to the po to wait in line for my package.
The big tent show is almost always a waste of time for me. Vendors are selling magic stuff for cooking, cleaning, and special deals to RV parks in places you’ve never heard of. There were more LED lamp sellers than I’ve seen here before, but the prices were all over the map (for the same thing). I noted a new line that looked to be of higher quality than I’ve seen, but I don’t need any right now. As I observed two years ago, prices and availability are better in Yuma.
I survived the Quartzsite post office.
