Another pair of tires for my trailer, but this time they were just worn down. Usually they get destroyed by taking road metal or by a failed axle. Still, I never like putting out the money, and they get more expensive every time.
Next up, very soon, are a pair for my truck’s rear axle, which wear twice as fast as my fronts. If I want to do any beach driving in Texas, I’ll have to do them before venturing out on the sand. My truck tires wear faster than they theoretically should because I keep them under-inflated a bit for comfort’s sake. When they are fully inflated and best when towing, the ride when not towing is so hard and “goosey” that I feel out of control. So I found a middle range I can live with at the expense of increased wear.
That completes my list of tasks here in Summerdale, so I can move again on Monday, a scenic route to Livingston, Texas.
