My house has wheels

Chimacum, WA

Arrived this afternoon at the Escapee park in Chimacum, near Port Townsend. I paid for a month, and will no doubt stay here until the end of August. I’m tired of driving. I’ve seen a lot this year, and covered a lot of ground.

20,000 miles of ground since I left here last August. My route was south and east to Burning Man in Nevada, across the Rockies in Cheyenne, through Nebraska to Cincinnati, on to Washington DC where I met the storm called Sandy, down to Key West, up to Mississippi, on to Texas, through the Southwest, up through Nevada and Oregon, and finally here again. Before leaving last year I touched Cape Flattery, making it a diagonal from the PNW to the extreme SouthEast. And back. I have no desire to do that again.

It’s 80 degrees and clear here, unexpected but not entirely unusual; there are plenty of days of rain and drizzle ahead of me. It’s good to be back.

  1. Glad you are back to the west coast. You sure did travel a lot this last year. Glad we were able to see you along the way. Hope we do the same next year.
