Marty's Travels

My house has wheels

Little Bighorn Battlefield

I’m at 7th Ranch RV Park nearby Little Bighorn, a place I first stayed at years ago, and it’s even better now. The views are spectacular from here. I asked for a place on top, and got the uppermost space with a view of the visitor center out my back window.

I saw my first pronghorn (this trip) yesterday, as well as prairie dogs. Blackbirds have assembled astounding flocks, the first of the vanguard heading south.

My RV attracted thousands of boxelder bugs, so I can’t spend any time outside around my house. Annoying as mosquitoes, but they don’t bite. And they leave when the sun starts going down.

Back on the road tomorrow, hoping to do Wyoming in two days. Then Boulder. I want a week of down, or non-driving time, a chance to be a tourist in the Front Range area of Denver. The weather is favorable, and it’s not tourist season. That’s my plan, anyway.
