My house has wheels

RV Repairs

I needed a pair of wheels, since one went away up near Colorado. A pair, because while I thought I might get close, I didn’t expect an exact match.

The local tire guy knew what to order, and when I looked at them today, they were an EXACT match. Rationally speaking I should return the second, as it’s not necessary. On the other hand I now have a spare wheel that matches the others, something I didn’t have.

That was a pain because the spare used different lug nuts, and I dealt with that little hassle a lot of times.

So now I’ve got to get the rubber to match. But first, the sheet metal repair.

When the wheel left, it creased the metal skirting behind it. I had a lead on a replacement piece of metal from the factory, but the guy flaked out. I think I can pick up a close replacement in Tucson or Yuma.

Which means I have to beat out the skirting to get somewhat close to normal. When I’m done it will be a beat up piece of sheet metal, but not too horrible. Good enough until I can find a clean piece.
