I’m parked next to the Chapmans in a monstrous RV Resort that seems to be typical of many of it’s type here. The resort thing isn’t really my style, but this one honors Passport America so I get 50% off the rates, making my stay quite reasonable.<\/p>\n
Actually, Mesa isn’t my style either, nor the entire Greater Phoenix area. Way too many look-alike houses, strip malls, and shopping centers.<\/p>\n
Before I arrived I spent a night in one of the worst run RV parks I’ve seen, in Safford. Anxious to get out of there, I got an early start then a trailer tire blew out. My roadside service provided an outfit out of Wilcox, about 90 minutes away. After about three hours I had my spare on and was back on my way. So I get to buy another tire while I’m here.<\/p>\n
Sitting around with Jim and talking trucks, I mentioned a strange vibration in my front wheels at 44 mph. We looked and discovered my left front didn’t have any weights on it, but could see where they once were. In fact, none of my wheels had weights. Apparently the guy that mounted my tires this summer didn’t hammer them down well enough and I’ve been losing them along the way. So I get to have truck tires balanced.<\/p>\n
Luckily there are plenty of places here to get the work done I need. And I’m here until Saturday. Weather is clear and 80’s, just right.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
