It seems as if you are part of &#8220;gown&#8221; it&#8217;s College Station, home of Texas A&#038;M.  If you are &#8220;town&#8221; it&#8217;s Bryan.  The two towns have blended together. The main campus is impressive, large, though I&#8217;m not fond of the setting: I&#8217;m out here in the middle of Texas somewhere.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll be checking if I can find a place to park for a day or two near Austin, but mainly I want to check out the bookstores here.  College towns are reliable places to look for books, especially used.<\/p>\n<p>I said goodbye to the horny mockingbirds in Livingston, who never shut up with their non-stop display of their songs, and said hello to horny grackles who have their own repertoire of noise that never stops.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Or is it College Station\/Bryan?
