When I got up this morning, the rain coming in that I’d been watching for three days seemed to have sped up a bit. I got a move on quickly to try to make it to Portland before it hit. And I just made it. Now it will rain until Thursday.<\/p>\n
This is the first rain of the season. The last will be July 4.<\/p>\n
I’m at Jantzen Beach on an island in the Columbia under the airport flight path, next to a railroad line, across the street from a monstrous shopping center, backed up against a busy arterial, under the interstate. Since I’ve been griping about the general sleepiness and boredom of the towns I’ve been staying in lately, I don’t feel justified complaining now.<\/p>\n
Big-city RV parking is a pretty rare thing, and I plan on making the best of it. I’ve got a fairly large, serviceable space, and access to services is excellent. Price is not as bad as I thought it would be.<\/p>\n
