The new prescription is great, and they were done nicely at Algodones Optical.  Now I have three pair all with the same prescription, much easier.<\/p>\n<p>So I&#8217;m tired of Algodones, and Yuma, and have nothing else to do here.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m thinking redwoods and surf.  Screw the rain, but I&#8217;m hoping against terrible rain, road closures, and flooding.  A couple of years ago my fear was fire.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll go to Slab City tomorrow, spend a few days, then head towards the Central Valley to get around the mountains.  In about a week, I can be on 101 near Eureka, which will do nicely.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of my least-favorite driving routes in the US, and California expenses are always a pain.  And I never know what I&#8217;ll be running into along the way.
