The high tides have receded, so I won&#8217;t be flooded, but the number of storm cells in the forecast means it will be wet while I&#8217;m parked here.<\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, it&#8217;s a great spot to sit on the shore when it&#8217;s not raining and read a book with the binocs handy while shore birds walk by.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m signed up for four nights, then I&#8217;ll go back to North Padre.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The wooded spaces here are a bit too wooded and filled with fire-ants for my taste, so I moved to the water side.
