Rather than order a replacement axle they built a new one using my old one as a source of parts.<\/p>\n<p>I mounted my ugly spare wheel to get me along, but I had to buy a new tire because my spare was 8 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Now that leaves the bent sheet metal that I&#8217;ll try to straighten up a bit until I can arrange for a replacement.  Then I&#8217;ll need a pair of decent wheels.<\/p>\n<p>All of that can be handled in Deming (or Silver City), which is where I&#8217;m headed.  Meantime, I&#8217;m in the San Juan County Fairground RV lot in Farmington, which has over 500 hookups.
