I came across a bike suitable to replace my old one. A single-speed Murray obviously dragged out of the woods somewhere, but workable after I swap a few parts. $10 and a day’s work and I was good to go. My criteria for a bike is the same as it was: serve for one Burning Man and after that it can be trashed. My last one lasted for 4 BMs over 5 years.<\/p>\n
I picked another hobby to engage in, the field of cardio-vascular medicine. Specifically finding physicians and funding sources to diagnose my conditions and propose a plan for treatment. Sine the end of March I’ve seen several docs and cardios without getting anything finally resolved, but it does look like I meet a doc on Thursday who might be the guy that actually does something.<\/p>\n
Meantime, everyone has covered themselves by prescribing meds for high blood pressure, heart attack, and stroke. Which seem to work but the side effects are driving me crazy.<\/p>\n
It was three months to get an appointment with a cardio on the Peninsula, so I switched to a doc in Seattle. I’ve got the bridge and a ferry between me and the doctor, but that’s pretty much the story if I choose to live on the Peninsula.<\/p>\n
There are plenty of good cardiac resources on the Peninsula, so in an emergency it’s not an issue. Getting a solid grasp on the problems I have is the trick, which will make treatment easier everywhere.<\/p>\n
