One of my all-time favorite places to visit. It’s world-class birdwatching, I always enjoy the town of Tombstone, and the RV park I’m in is one of the best I’ve stayed in.<\/p>\n
Tombstone Territories RV Park is extremely popular and fills up (100 spaces) regularly this time of year. I pulled in on a gamble, and discovered they’d let me park in storage and wait until a space came up. For $20 a night. This matches the highest rate I ever paid for dry camping, in Ventura, CA, backed up against the Pacific Ocean. That experience was worth the $20, and this one is too.<\/p>\n
The park is on a high spot and has a 360 degree view of the desert. The dry-camp\/storage area is on the fringe of the place, and has a 180 degree view with absolutely no man-made objects to be seen. <\/p>\n
I’m backed up into the mesquite and a rag-tag collection of grasses and brush, with just a touch of the pastel green of Spring. The perfect environment for birds, and who knows what other critters.<\/p>\n
